…Burned book – SR 90
The ship’s cabin space is designed for varied work. Over time it becomes an archive in orbit. Behind the panels, circuits corrode. A dull thud and a flash is apprehended by the crew of a neighbouring ship. They will hardly register surprise. Its fate is the same visited upon vessels time and again. Each metallic cylinder rolling in space is a combustion chamber. At the end of its service a thud and a flash – the power stroke that punches the archive’s paper to charred remnants.
